Goodbye 50% Off Sales: Deep Discounts are Ending

On Monday, Royal Carribean cruise lines announced that they are looking to eliminate last minute discounts. Harley Davidson also announced that they will no longer be worrying about competing price wise with competitors. They are getting rid of discounts for a couple of different reasons. The first is that now we are out of the recession, people can afford more expensive products. The next is that companies are becoming more and more aware of pricing psychology. People tend to associate higher prices with higher quality therefore giving a better name to the product in most cases but not all.
